What I know about the N95 Mask & How to Sterilize It

I don't know why anyone would ask an MD a hypothetical question requiring a yes or no answer. The answer would always be 'NO;' why? Well because it's not in any protocol that they've learned at their beloved medical school and they do not step outside their damn guidelines. A case in point, Dr. Gupta was asked by a CNN viewer if it was alright to use Lysol to disinfect her mask when returning home. The good doctor said 'no' and mumbled something about the mask being a 'doctor's' mask and the implication was that you shouldn't tamper with a sanctified object. Now, this woman was left to try and obtain more masks because--if Dr. Gupta is to be believed--you just can't disinfect it. Bull crap! Dr. Gupta readily said no to the woman with regard to the use of Lysol but you'd think that with the money he brings in, he'd offer the poor woman a means of disinfecting her mask. Lacking a ready supply of masks, we the public, need to reu...

More Tricks of the Covid-19 Virus

Image
The following is a list of common substances and the charges they are likely to have. "Tribo" means to rub, as in rubbing a glass rod on rabbit fur and then picking up pieces of paper with the glass rod. The list comes from this website The covid-19 virus is probably neutral or negative because it needs to land on human flesh and, if it were positive, it would be repelled by the positive charge more likely to be found on skin or hair. Early on, it came out that women were less likely than men to get infected; what if it were due to their longer hair acting like a magnet? If it is found that men who wear a mask over a beard are no more likely to get infected as beardless men, this may mean the beard is actually protective against covid-19. As far as mask materials are concerned, polyester and other manmade fibers may be more protective because they tend to be negative thereby repelling the, presumably, negative virus. If you build them out of more positive materials, the...

Hey BBC news, Can You Think on Your Own?

Or do world agencies just darn set your hearts a flutter? Today, I heard the most irresponsible reporting on Instagram by the BBC news. They read a guideline by W.H.O. and went with it without giving it the once over. These are the reasons why the W.H.O. and the numskulls at BBC news think you don't have to wear a mask in public: No evidence that it can stop the spread of covid-19 The mask can get contaminated. It might give you a false sense of security You are less likely to wash your hands if you wear a mask. #1: if there is no evidence that it can stop the spread, why are doctor's wearing them along with face shields. Why the hoopla over not having enough N95s for the healthcare workers? Why not suggest that doctors just wear only a face shield because that beats the "suffocating" mask. Here's how I think the smarty MD's at the W.H.O came up with this one: patient comes in the hospital, tests positive and the doctor asks if he/she was wearing...

Healthcare Workers Here are not dying from Covid-19. WHY?

Because they wear masks and face shields. The shutdown was never really needed. All government needed to do was insist on masks in public. The 6 foot requirement was bull. The stay-at-home was bull. Sure, they would work but it has been a pyrrhic victory when all we had to do was insist on masks. The one thing that has not been done was the sterilization of areas like handrails and doorknobs. That would seal the deal along with face masks. I don't have an explanation for the many doctors who have died in Italy. Send me over there and I'll figure it out. Although I'm already leaning towards the close knit family units which are Italian.

No "Shaky" Short Term but Inadvisable Long Term

We can eschew shaking hands for the sake of covid-19 mitigation short term but, as a biologist, I think we have evolved to inoculate ourselves with low doses of pathogens obtained through close human contact. This is essential to our survival AS A SPECIES. If you take a human and, at birth, put him in a bubble and give him sterilized food, that person will die within days if not hours when exposed to a normal environment. But, the thing is, this need to prime our immune systems is neverending (that's why Bill Gates hopes to remain top capitalist by one day supplying the world with vaccines). Other animals get their "immunizations" through the ingestion of feces, licking of paws, or through their food which they do not wash before consuming. Even in birth, many animals get their first dose of motherly probiotics when they "first see the light." Shaking unwashed hands is natures way of vacinating. You may object that "I can do my own vaccinating, thank you....

Homebodies, A Dystopian Novel too near for Comfort

[I started to write this ages ago when global warming had just started to be considered. It is basically a first draft. There is a big chuck of plot missing--especially where the title takes on a double-meaning. I wrote the ending and then I guess my subconscious decided that I had finished writing it and turned on procrastination full tilt. Homebodies refers to permanent stay-at-home orders. Although the main protagonist has his problems, I hoped to show people adapting to a new reality as best they can.] Homebodies   By A. Jimenez Chapter 1 Monday, August 10, 2020 [note: this is how far into the future I thought it would end up at]      Pangs of desperation profuse  my chest when I realize that my civil service would be over in a week and I would have to go back home to be with my wife Jenny, her father Dan, and his adored vixen and vexation to many, Myrna.  Civil draftees, after just days away from home, start to fervently d...
