Who doesn't Like Bernie?

I don't like Bernie. I wish he had been anything other than a consistently ethical, moral, and empathetic politician. After all, it seems only his corporate-loving antithesis ever gets the African-American or Hispanic vote. For Bernie to cement the nomination he would need to be a fraud who switches from a Biden type into one who actually gives a hoot about what Madison called, the "humble sons of obscure and unpropitious fortune." They were, said Madison, equal to the "haughty heirs of distinguished names." I'm in that group; I don't expect to have multiple homes; I don't expect to ever buy a yacht or even Super Bowl tickets. Do I hope that Bernie would make such things possible? Not absolutely but yes, relatively more possible. He would do it by making sure that the healthcare industry doesn't rob me of everything I own because their members must maintain their status quo (like Biden would because he's married to one of the perpetrators...

Sanders and Clinton, Strange Bedfellows, Indeed.

[My comments in red] This is my commentary on an editorial which appeared in the LA Times recently wherein Senator Sanders fills in and allows the editorial board to take a break from playing their own Clinton tunes. The conventions are over and the general election has officially begun. In the primaries, I received 1,846 pledged delegates, 46% of the total. Hillary Clinton received 2,205 pledged delegates, 54%. She received 602 superdelegates. I received 48 superdelegates. Hillary Clinton is the Democratic nominee and I will vigorously support her. Ipso facto, Mr. Sanders also supports a corrupt nominating process. Donald Trump would be a disaster and an embarrassment for our country if he were elected president. The "disaster" and "embarrassment" would be the failure of the Government's balance of power--I say let's test it. His campaign is not based on anything of substance — improving the economy, our education system, healthcare or the envi...

Bernie Bigger Plant than Trump?

OK, just hear me out. Hillary has made promises to Wall St (corporatist that she is) which is why she won't release the transcripts. But how does she lure the sheeple without risking losing the support of Wall St. Well, you campaign against a Socialist who would eventually insist on some say with regard to the DNC platform. She, then says to Wall St. that she must acquiesce to some of Bernie's ideas or risk not getting elected. The whole scheme came close to backfiring and it would have if her political machine had not been able to steal the primaries. Luckily, she won. Now, here's the clincher that tells me BS was nothing but BS all along. Here's this man who must know that a platform is all but toothless when it comes to making a POTUS do anything (BHO proved this without a shadow of a doubt). He says he's going to the convention and his supporters assume that he's going to fight for the nomination. BullShit. Two weeks before the convention he gives in t...
