Can Citizens be Asked to Wear a Mask in Public?
It's a no-brainer but it is not being done. If we can order people to wear clothes in public, we can ask them to wear a mask. I wish Governors Cuomo or Murphy would pick a city or borough or county and order everyone there to wear a mask--any mask until we have the resources to provide the currently scarce N95's, and yes, bandanas or any cloth that covers the nose and mouth are acceptable. Additionally, they would hire sanitation workers to sanitize all surfaces touched by people. The U.S. bureaucracy may be taking too long to respond with the right mask policy. The media, stupidly, continues to make the assinine assumption that we'd all be taking away masks from healthcare workers. They should start reading my posts with a more critical eye rather than jump to specious conclusions that do nothing to get the public into the right frame of mind.
