You blew it the last time. This time, I, a lifelong Democrat/Independent WILL vote for Mitt Romney instead of Smiley. Romney would be protective of Wall St. and even though he made his fortune there, he may be moral and ethical enough to listen to those of us who what to assuage wealth disparity starting with Wall St. I definitely think this is true because he marched with the people. The GOP needs to recoup any cred it had with the common man, and they can do it with the Rich Mormon from Utah, imho. Anyway, it beats worrying about what Smiley is doing behind the scenes--and he probably learned many a lesson from the Uncle Tom. Seriously, what did he do? Did he fix marijuana? Did he fix wealth disparity? Did he curtail guns? Did he fix immigration? Did he fix the criminal justice system? Or, did he, in fact, just lend his Black face to the presidential portraits? So, South Korea is doing better than us with their mortality numbers. Today, I discovered that they are far from being an air-conditioned country. That, if you've been following along with my recent blogs, means that people there stand a better chance of not even getting infected--at least during the Summer. See article here. But the problem vis-a-vis my theory that cold dry air aids transmission is that South Korea's Winter is long, cold, and dry (same latitude as North America). Nevertheless, the fact that they eschew air conditioners means that they should keep their numbers down at least during the short, hot, and humid Summer. During the last year, only July and August saw temperatures above 60⁰ F. (see below). Also troublesome is that S. Korea has an extensive network of transportation and that while most tourism is domestic, 75% of international visitors comes from other Asian countries. All of which points to high transmissibility. Her rant today against Bernie Sanders on Jake Tapper's show, was, I believe, unleashed because of my comments in a previous post about her ex-boyfriend, Senator Cruz. Cruz and the rest of the Cuban Senators and representatives in Congress are scum for the way they have kept the embargo against Cuba. Luckily for the country, she only appears on select shows. Jake, there's no need to go with the pretty faces who are evil and immoral inside. She does nothing for your show.

Protests   A message that Teenagers may prevail in exerting their right be safe. We spend billions on protecting our shores from oft nebulous bogeymen; yet the very real domestic killer is allowed to riddle us with bullets with absurd absolute abandon sanctioned by those who swore to uphold our Constitution while leaving out "...establish Justice...," and "...ensure domestic Tranquility..." Is it a just society when we allow the mowing down of our children. Have they done anything other than maintain for us troubled and anxious lives? Anti-kudos to Sayreville, New Jersey for threatening to expel any student that leaves in order to take part in gun protests. One girl had the courage to resist that authoritarianism that is so prevalent in New Jersey's schools. I'm guessing they'd be more tolerant if New Jersey were to find itself another statistic? These were taken this morning. The picture at the top was when the moon was lowest in the sky--just about to set. It was at that time that the eclipse and reddish hue was most apparent. With regard to the W. Virginia crash, I believe it is unlikely that anyone on a fast-moving bulky train can detect braking especially--being mostly politicians--they were probably very animated themselves ready for that "retreat" at Greenbrier. There was supposed to be a protest at Greenbrier (many were being bused there). I wonder what will become of that protest now? I wonder if Republican representatives believe in signs from God because it seems to me that a Super Blue Blood Moon appearing hours before a train crash that kills one citizen and maims others and a SOT Uniom the night before where they applauded with gusto. . .what, wealth disparity?   NPR    has done a great job fact-checking Trump's SOTU speech, applause by applause.
