He invested 10 billion in the development and delivery of new medicines and got back 30X more. Let's assume his "philanthropic" foundation got the 290 billion dollars. Great, you say, his foundation can put that money into Covid research and we can have a hundred labs developing the vaccine instead of the dozen or so we have now.
