Our Pandemic, Its Gaslighter, and Its Munchausener By Proxy
We know the gaslighter who, thankfully, only affects the MAGA base. The MAGA are just as smart as anyone else so one has to say that they willingly allow themselves to be gaslighted. There's nothing that can be done.
The person afflicted with Munchausen's Syndrome by Proxy is none other than our esteemed Dr. Anthony Fauci. I remember reacting incredulously when the news reported that Tony was receiving death threats. I couldn't make heads or tails out of it until my Son and I started discussing the provenance of the Novel Coronavirus. The origin fell at the good doctor's doorstep.
When you have the gaslighter confusing the heck out of everything and when you add Mr. Bannon to the mix, you soon realize that the "gain-of-function" work promoted by Dr. Fauci was his way of becoming a hero to the U.S.--if not the world--by unleashing a monster whom he would try to slay.
For those of you not woke to "gain-of-function," it's a euphemism for "help the virus succeed in its endeavors by implementing changes to its genome." Why in God's name would anyone want that? Dr. Fauci says it's in order to anticipate a possible cure. I.e., you create a super virus and, before nature has a chance to create the same species, smart-humans come up with the cure; except that accidental releases were never considered--yeah, right! It is my contention that a release of the virus was always part of the plan.
To President Obama's credit, he disallowed "gain-of-function" studies. But Trump came along and the NIH was now free to release funds for more Wuhan studies because they knew that Trump billed himself as a disrupter and what better way to disrupt than to start an epidemic?
Scientists are often depicted as honorable men whose only interest is truth as found in Nature; but, you merely have to consider the Nazi scientists to know better. In more modern times, it's not the amateur scientist who comes up with nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons. It's the accomplished and respectable and well-educated man or woman who creates evil for the state. I think Dr. Fauci is in that camp. Regrettably, I do not know his true motive but, as a first guess, I'll go with Munchausener By Proxy.*
Where are the clues, you ask? Well, let's start with Dr. Fauci, in defence of "gain-of-function," saying flippantly that society needs to find the Achilles' heel of viruses. He said this just prior to the pandemic. There isn't a biologist anywhere in the world who'll agree that a virus has an "Achilles' Heel" because a virus is made up of nothing but "Achilles' Heels;" i.e., every part of a virus genome is essential to its survival and if you are looking for something to attack, just pick any viral gene or gene product. If you are curious, the reason for this is that the virus needs to stay small because having a small genome means it can make more copies of itself in the fastest time possible and before the host can alert its defences. Also, something small can spread much more easily than something big.
Thanks to Dr. F., every virologist in the world now knows how to make a virus spread well. You merely have to decrease the ratio of weight to volume thereby lowering the virus' density which allows the virus to float better in air. Just recently the W.H.O. came out saying that droplets were not the only way the virus could spread but that it could spread on its own. Yeah, I was saying this way before the 'experts.' I still am waiting for them to say that air-conditioning may be a risk factor for spreading because cold air is dense and supports the virus' weight better.** This is the reason why meat-packing is particularly dangerous for the worker--workers work, basically, in a refrigerator.
Dr. F's ideology also doesn't hold water because even if you create a deadly virus through "gain-of-function," there is no guarantee that nature would produce anything like what you developed in the virology lab.
I am in favor of contraception as a means of lowering the carbon footprint. Maga and Catholics prefer to allow overpopulation because they're, frankly, idiots. Yes, having billions of humans would mean that the chances of someone being naturally immune to Covid-19 are greater than if we had far fewer individuals. However, the elimination of countless humans on the chance that they could outlive a Coronavirus pandemic is disingenuous at best because you are simultaneously eliminating many other advantageous genes that were present in genomes devoid of anti-coronavirus genes.
The way we implement global contraception is to ensure that people are not subject to any social disparity and that they are taxed for more than x number of progeny. We don't need to kill people a la Fauci.
*This malady (Munchausen by Proxy) now has an updated name, Factitious Syndrome by Proxy but I'll keep the old because I still call Pluto a planet.
**Air-conditioning would only be a risk factor if you are amongst strangers. At home, it's only a factor if you have individuals who are often in public.
