Obama bashing by email

This was an email sent to me by my sister-in-law. My comments are in italics.

This was written by someone who is deathly afraid of a half Black man running the country. It is full of specious arguments aimed at instilling fear in people who are easily swayed because they themselves hate Blacks. See notes with each comment:

The Obama Tidal Wave

We are witnessing a political phenomenon of rare magnitude with
Barack Obama. His speeches have inspired millions, and yet most of his
followers have no idea of what he stands for &n bsp;except platitudes of "Change"
or that he says he will be a "Uniter". The power of speech from a
charismatic person truly can be a powerful thing; Certainly, Billy Graham
had charisma, and both his manner of speech and particularly the content,
changed millions. On the extreme other ha nd, the charisma of Adolph Hitler
inspired millions and the results were catastrophic.
Barack Obama certainly is no Hitler or a Billy Graham, but, for
many Americans out there feeling just like a surfer who might be ecstatic
and euphoric while riding a tidal wave, the real story is what happens
when it hits shore.
Many people have asked, "what has Barack Obama actually
accomplished to qualify himself as a candidate for President?"
Here is a list of Barack Hussein Obama's accomplishments:

* He voted against banning partial birth abortion. If this is the only thing he's against, I wouldn't vote for him but I got to say that, as a father, if I found out my child was a bastard, I'd like to fuck him over right in the womb.

* He voted no on notifying parents of minors who get
out-of-state abortions. Before or after getting the abortion? If after, what good does it do anyone?

* In 2001 he questioned harsh penalties for drug dealing. So do I. The f@cking government is too much into our lives. Besides, you don't need a drug dealer to turn your kid on to drugs--his own friends will do it.

* Admitted marijuana and cocaine use in high school and in college. Only gutless goody two shoes haven't. How could he properly be informed about drugs otherwise? Waterboarding should be done to the justices so they can properly determine if it's truly torture.

* His religious convictions are very murky. So are mine. The murkier one's religious convictions are the less likely you would want to commandeer an airliner into a building.
* He is willing to meet with Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Kim Jung Il and
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.< BR> It's high time we knew our enemies. Meeting Gorbachev was good enough for Regan and he did wonders as a result of his meetings.
* He said that one of his first goals after being elected would be to have
a conference with all Muslim nations. We need to know our enemies.

* Opposed the Patriot Act. So do a great many other patriotic Americans.

* Supports universal health-care. Yea, we don't want everyone to afford the greedy bastard MD's; we want to make sure that only the rich can afford it, right?

* Supports granting driver's licenses to illegal immigrants. What would you rather have, a nut behind the wheel or someone who is licensed to drive?

* Supports extending welfare to illegal immigrants. Don't agree with this one.

* Voted yes on allowing illegal aliens to participate in Social < /SPAN> Security. Don't agree with this one.

* Voted with Democratic Party 96 percent of 251 votes. When the opposition party is Bush and Cheney, I'm glad he did

* He voted "No" on repealing the "Death" & nbsp;Tax. Sorry, but this doesn't affect 90 % of Americans. It only affects the children of the rich.

* He wants to raise the Capital Gains Tax. Sorry, but this doesn't affect 90 % of Americans. It only affects the rich.

* He is ranked as the most liberal Senator in the Senate today . If you call yourself a conservative, then I am sure you want to stay away from Obama but don't insult our intelligence by using arguments that push the buttons of our primitive animal instincts.

If your political choices are consistent with Barack Obama's
and you think that his positions will bring America together or
make it a better place, then you will probably enjoy riding the
wave and not passing on this informat ion.

If you are like most Americans who, after examining what he
stands for, are truly not in line with his record, it would be prudent
to get off the wave, or, better yet, never get on, before it comes on
shore and undermines the very foundations of this great Country. Like "most Americans?" If most Americans felt like the writer, there would be no need to worry about Obama. I take umbrage with the fact that the writer claims that Obama would "undermine the very foundations of this great Country." Isn't this what the Republicans did by torturing prisoners and spying on citizens?

We have limited time to save America or the Supreme Court as we know it. Remember . .. inaction is action. Just a quick note, if Obama does nothing but offset those bastards Scalia and Alito who handed the election over to Bush and then had the gall to cover their judicial asses by saying that the decision they made could not be used to argue any other case in the future. Scalia, bastard that he is, made the specious argument that the death penalty was not cruel and unusual punishment because the founding father used it. Yea, asshole, and were they aware of how important genes were--not to mention the effect of society on behavior?
