Snake oil salesmen selling torture (Mind Hacks) OR, here comes the Domestic Cold War--Burrr.
The first order of business for incoming Senate Intelligence honcho, Senator Richard Burr, is to get back the 81 million dollars that Republicans paid a pair of modern day Mengale 's that got us zero actionable intelligence and resulted in the U.S. being labeled hypocrites by the international community. As for any backlash from Senator Feinstein's report, I would like to tell this Republican that the U.S. citizen was already well aware of the torture program, and that the report only gave us a few more gory details. If we were aware of it, you can bet your red ass so was the militant Muslim.
Read all about the two intellectually deficit but business-savy-like-only-Republicans-could-appreciate-morons who made 81 million bucks off of our Republican-induced and, sadly, Democratic-perpetuated collective fear of the bogeyman. Read about it here.
Kudos to Senator Feinstein. I'll leave it up to historians to determine how much of her efforts were the result of retribution for the CIA hacking of her committee's computers which even if significant are still laudable for separation of power is quintessential to our way of government but why the fuck it needed a White House imprimatur, I won't bother to dissect--again, historians to the rescue! Funny, though, how God does work in beautifully mysterious ways and the woman who was willing to put up with our loss of privacy found herself smitten to the point of disclosure--yeah, God, you go dude/dudette!
