Should Conservatives Really Be Associated with Strong Religious Convictions?
My atheistic son would jump at answering yes but that's because he hates organized religion. The way I see it, it is hypocritical for Christ-like people to condone violence on "the least of mine" (Matthew 25:40) Here's what happened:
I'm listening to NYC's WOR710 radio and this defender of police brutality (to be fair, all at WOR710 suck asp. The bigger the baton, the better), Eric Ericson, is bad mouthing Liberals who are railing against yet another case of police brutality and cowardice. The police allege that Ms. Jessica Hernandez tried to run them over and this is what the lackeys at WOR710 radio latch onto. Now, I personally don't associate with ANY political ideology other than my own home brewed sense of justice and liberty. However, I side with Liberals 100% when it comes to how the police are treating the citizen--they are killing us with abandon, smug in their unions, and in the support of Conservatives like Mr. Erickson who was filling in for Limbaugh who, btw, should put aside all worry that there will never be another douche bag to carry on after he, Limbaugh, goes back on pain killers for one last lethal time.
Conservatives like Erickson and Limbaugh select a facet of a case that supports their stand and when it comes to the police, they usually have nothing to go on but the alleged suspect's past or less-than-perfectly-submissive behavior, and then their feeble intellect stops working. In the case of poor SMILING Jessica, they do not ask what the injuries actually were that were sustained by the prick cop. They do not ask if Jessica and the others might have felt threatened seeing cops with guns drawn (in light of 1300+ murders by cop, perhaps?). They do not ask how dark it was (were the cops easily identifiable?). They do not ask what the stupid cop was doing in front of a 'suspect' vehicle instead of to one side (I say this only because some YouTube video showed an illustration with one of the cops laying down on the ground in front of the car looking "run over," so I'm guessing, they must have heard it from somewhere). They do not ask if proper police procedure was followed (I was never a cop but, I think that, in this situation, I'd be on the PA (after another car had blocked exit) telling them to shut the engine and get out of the car with their hands up. This should be in the SOP and everyone, cops & public, should know the details. They do not ask who called in a 'suspect' car. Who the heck does that? Every cop in my town would leave if we called in every car we couldn't i.d. No, they don't ask these questions because they know they would be damning to the pricks whose asps they long to suck.
The unmitigated gall of some conservatives. Where would we be if Conservatives held sway during our revolutionary times? No Conservative ever started a revolution because it is in their nature to stagnate--King George III would have loved the WOR710 radio Conservatives, and he would have loved the peacekeeping Liberals too. That tells me that neither animal existed in its present guise and that the men that did come forward were men of principle who would not tolerate bullshit at any price from anyone.
BTW, just to further show my Independent leanings, our Liberal-beloved President, by now, should--at the very least--have demanded that no cop EVER STOP A CITIZEN from photographing. I don't give a gnat's ass where the action is. A fucking terrorist who wants to photograph a sensitive area can do so stealthily--anyone can. Ask me for i.d. if you have to but allow me to keep filming. A real people's president would have assuaged the dystopia now gripping our nation.
Finally, Jessica Hernandez was in that unfortunate group that I recognize as a cop's favored victim: the minority person who is young, non-voting, without disposable income, perhaps in a state of brain-altering angst or mentally unbalanced or drugged. The people in this group are sitting ducks for the vile predator that is today's cop, and don't you forget it WOR710 Radio.
