Religion Touches the Sociopath

It wasn't my Catholic Pope that came to the rescue. I think it was that strongly worded Christian letter composed by A.G. Session's Methodist Church. In my humble estimation, the Methodist Church holds a greater claim to Christ's teachings than anything the so-called Christian Evangelicals could ever have. It was beautiful and majestic and from that point on, nothing would stop the taming of the President.

Kudos to his wife, Melania, and daughter Ivanka for getting through to the hard-headed one; but, to Mr. Trump himself I say, get yourself a little angel on one of your shoulders. Let it be your daughter or your wife or let it be the Methodist Church's elders. At this point in your presidency and barring any damning evidence from Mr. Mueller, you can survive if you are willing to accept the value of empathy in your life. Abandon empathy and you abandon the greatness that has been sent your way. The Devil, Mr. President, has too much of your ear.

I don't know much about Evangelicals. What I do know is that they must be evangelists. But evangelists for what? One would assume for promoting the gospel of Jesus Christ but oddly, they are acting like perverse representations of the Word.

By the way, Mr. President, who got you into the mess you are in? Was it not Mr. Sessions and Ms. Nielsen? Get rid of them, first chance you get. And, for God's sake, don't let them quote scripture. There are millions of us that can counter the arguments of the heathen. Let us take the notion that God created a government in order to rule us. Hogwash! The first "king" came into existence at the behest of the Israelites and God was quick to add, "so, you want a king instead of me, ay? Ok, let's see where that takes you." The rest is history, the Bible was foretelling unending strife because man put his trust in his fellow man rather than in God.

I know Mr. President that you are a sociopath and I talk as someone who gladly accepts your phenotype. That's not to say that I wouldn't opt for a 'Bernie' or a 'Bobby' if given the chance but I realize that what any sociopath needs is an angel on one of his shoulders. Bannon and Fox News can occupy the other shoulder but, if you want to be ranked amongst the greats, put an angel to balance those perched on your 'right.'

I'm reading "How to Change Your Brain" and I'll be blogging about how psilocybin may be just what the doctor ordered for one such as Trumpie.

Media kudos
To Nicolle Wallace for bringing so many of my favorites on her show: Kasie Hunt, Ashley Parker, John Heilemann, and Hallie Jackson. Special thanks to those femmes who've worn orange outfits prior to this blog. Hey Heilemann, did you wear an orange tie one day? If so, kudos.

Stephanie Ruhle put her hair up because it was so damn hot in Texas. It looked nice; I'd like to see more hosts in pony tails--they're not just for little girls, you know. John King can't handle one but Tapper can pull it off now that he's an author.

To Morning Joe without the Joe; the quests were probably sweating less without Joe's convoluted questions. I suspect his drawn-out questions might just be a way of giving the guest extra time to think but I'd rather just get a quick question. I can almost hear the guests say, "what's the question, pal, get to the question; good God almighty, where are you going with this?"

Now that Brianna is probably giving her breast to her 'joey,' I don't tune into CNN all that much. Only Bri knows how to send love to her fans. Hey, Bri, thanks for partly naming Antonio Allen after me. OK, so it's only an 80% match A-L-L-E-N to A-N-G-E-L; but the two mismatches--an 'L' and a 'G' can stand for "Life is Good." Were you friends with Bourdain, btw; i.e., Tony, Antonio? Don't fret Fernando, I had to wait until my third kid to get one of my kids named after me and then only as a middle name.
