Trump Got Played--Big Time





dailykos.com summed it up very well with this piece by Mark Sumner clearly showing how Mr. Trump has given in to Pompeo and Bolton neocon bull in order to get them not to testify against him in the impeachment trial.

Pompeo's news conference was carried by CNN's Newsroom. A goon, just like a politician, has to be able to lie through his teeth--no one denies this--but the one thing they have trouble with is employing logic to get their point across. Pompeo asked us to consider the absurdity of General Suleimani going to Iraq on a peace mission. If CNN had been on their toes, they would have countered with the obvious logical point that a negative cannot be proved. Nothing the goon can say can prove that Suleimani wasn't in Iraq on a peace mission; he can only try to prove that he was there on nefarious grounds and that he has not done preferring to use past actions by Suleimani as a predictor of future actions.

Kate Balduan, wearing a blouse with a sweet black heart motif, just made the same point. Clarisa also called him out but the MIC rep called Suleimani a "legitimate battlefield target" to which I say that N. Korea, China, Saudi Arabia, and many others have greater claims to such "legitimacy."

On the matter of Bolton testifying, if just one Republican wants to admit him into the Senate trial, we know that he/she knows exactly what he's going to offer--nothing.

Finally, kudos to Iran's FM for talking about a proportional response to the targeting of Suleimani and for suggesting that just a U.S. apology would go along way to assuage escalation.

Why was Comey fired? He towered over Trump, that's why. It's a no-no. That other dude that knew his job well was tall, and I suspect the administration knew all the time of his spousal abuse history but it only became a problem for him when his height got on the president's nerve, OUT. I Doubt My Mother-in-Law will ever get Covid Even at 90+

You see, she has never been a germaphobe and that means her immune system is tip top. When you're not a germaphobe, you subject yourself to all manner of germs that immunize you against similar organisms. My German mother-in-law cleans her home meticulously but she has no compunction with sticking her hands into the sewer and unclogging it by hand. "But Midge, I have a snake for that.
