Harrison Ford, Clearly a Boorish Man Out to Keep it Rolling for Himself
Harrison Ford is a charitable man. I don't know the extent but he still has 250 million in the bank after his various donations. So, why am I picking on him? You guessed it, a Bernie Sanders supporter he's not. Along with the Old Dems, Bloomberg, Steyer, Klobuchar, and Buttigieg, Mr. Ford would prefer to see a more "moderate" candidate.
When a rich man says moderation, what he's really saying is, "I don't want to endanger the status quo." In Mr. Ford's case, it's the status quo that has enabled him to be magnanimous with money and, in so doing, obtain a modicum of kudos in St. Peter's Redemption Book but, frankly, I do believe he cares about animals and the environment and may be an atheist for all I know--he just doesn't care enough to give Bernie Sanders the reins.
We've come to the reason why his motivation for moderation is suspect. When someone gets the popular vote and wins the Electoral College, he should be allowed to try to lead the country into implementing his agenda. That's right, just like Mr. Trump did when his pendulum pulled us into the right, Bernie's pendulum should be allowed to swing to the Left; because that way, Mr. Ford, you'll truly get an average that tallies as moderation. Getting Klobuchar, Buttigieg or anyone else (Warren possibly excepted) will be like lending a greased hand to a man sinking in quicksand--a very 'iffy' proposition and one I wouldn't bet on. Let us not forget that the last great Democrat was Lyndon. I'm not including Barack b/c having to pay for something out of one's pocket while others get their insurance free through an employer is hardly conducive to assuaging wealth disparity.
The anti-Berners are all motivated by greed but it is particularly unfathomable that a man like Mr. Ford who cares so much about the environment thinks that moderation is what's called for. But even if it were, a vote for Bernie is not a vote for actual bloody revolution. Mr. Trump was and will remain for more the disrupting president than Bernie ever will be. For God's sake, Mr. Ford, his competitors show that Congress will supply all the braking Bernie's agenda may need to appease the Rich. Yet, we still need Bernie to at least point the way to a better future--one that doesn't rely on the largess of the Hollywood elite. Btw, sir, when you went to Ripon College, how much did it cost; I'll bet it was nothing like the 19K a year that it costs today--ya think we could moderate that tuition to where non-Hollywood elite could afford it?

Kudos to the networks (CNN, CBS especially) for the fair coverage of the Bernie Sanders campaign over the past week. One commentator (on CBS Sunday Morning, I believe) even distinguished Bernie from those other foreign "socialists" even pointing out that Sanders was more like FDR and LBJ--nice!
Erin Burnett stopped her signoff labial mannerism--thanks.
