Joe Biden, piecemeal solutions at a Time of Famish

He ended the speech with "God bless our troops." Who would stand up against that? Not me; but it makes me believe that he's got war on his mind. It's a good sentiment but to my knowledge, our troops are not presently in harm's way--if they are, the media's not covering it. No, he's old school, he still believes that war is good for the country's economy; never mind that the poor will continue to shoulder the burden.

Moving on, we have the piecemeal fix to Obamacare. I don't know how many of you tried to buy in to coverage but how many of us could afford 10 grand? It was better to opt for the fine and deal with long waits at the hospital. Just as you accumulate a few bucks, the government is asking you to pay for the healthcare of your fellow citizens when what is needed is Medicare for all that will bring efficiencies to the costs of healthcare.

On police brutality, the ex-VP mentioned a Booker/Paul bill that bans chokeholds. This guy chastises Mr. Trump for not knowing the U.S. Constitution but Uncle Joe is damn-well aware that it is the autocratic decisions of the Supreme Court that have empowered cops all along. Mr. Biden will continue the deference.

And yet, here we await an election in which Mr. Biden might be the lesser of two evils--but NOT BY MUCH. Oh, he'll know all the Obama tricks for looking squeaky clean but there'll be no changes made of any lasting consequence. It's never been more apparent that what we need politically in this country is RCV (ranked choice voting).
